A Nasty Piece of Work (Constantine [2005] with Jeremiah Jones-Goldstein)

If you listened to our review of The Legend of Boggy Creek in Episode 50, you heard Jake and I realize that Episode 52 was coming up and that almost certainly meant it was time for us to review another comic book adaptation. We get into more of the details why in this discussion, but for Episode 52 we've chosen to review 2005's Constantine! This movie has had a bit of a contentious history amongst our hosts sinces its release, so it seemed like a good time to revisit this cinematic rendition of Hellblazer to see if our opinions had changed. We hope everyone enjoys the resulting discussion!

Big thanks to Jacob’s brother Jeremiah Jones-Goldstein for joining us for this review! Be sure to check out his own site: https://comicscomicscomics.blog/

And as always, thanks so much for listening!

Note: the episode begins with some discussions of the comic source material and why we picked the movie for this particular episode, but if you want to go right to the movie discussion the timecode is 00:35:11.
